EDAD 553 - Vocational Administration and Philosophy Semester Hours: Three This course is an in-depth study of the secondary vocational education school. Emphasis is placed on the study of the following issues specific to vocational schools: rural Co-Op model; the suburban and urban model; local, state, and federal funding; vocational curriculum, diverse student populations; scheduling; facilities, facility management and design, and equipment and resource management and procurement; staffing and staff development; vocational student organizations; school-to-work programs; Tech Prep; A+ programs; career pathways; and articulated programs between high schools and junior colleges for college credit.
