COUN 5393 - Internship in Secondary School Counseling Semester Hours: Three This course consists of 300 clock hours of supervised counseling experiences within a secondary school setting. Students will also attend bi-monthly internship classes for an entire semester with other internship students. Students will critique audio and videotapes of their counseling sessions to enhance their counseling skills and techniques. Term Offered: Spring, beginning 2020
Prerequisites for School: COUN 5113, 5121, 5122, 5123, 5133, 5211, 5212, 5213, 5223, 5253. There is a course specific fee charged for this course. This course cannot be taken as a directed study or credit for prior learning portfolio. Students seeking counselor licensure may not take this as a web-based course. Online program students must enroll in the OLP section. Traditional program students must enroll in the face-to-face (INT) section. CPT form required for F-1 international students.
