COUN 5203 - Psychopathology
Semester Hours: THREE
This course provides students with a working knowledge of diagnostic classification systems, specifically the current version of the DSM. Additionally, the course introduces students to skills in case conceptualization, case presentation and in selecting and implementing appropriate treatment strategies. Students have opportunities to apply knowledge and skills to client cases. Prerequisites for School and School with CMHC Concentration: COUN 5113, 5121, 5122, 5123, 5133. Prerequisites for CMHC: COUN 5103, 5113, 5121, 5122, 5133. This course cannot be taken as a directed study, credit for prior learning portfolio, or as a web-based course.
