Missouri Baptist University offers a minor in Sociology (SOCO) that will allow students to explore the social and ethical issues affecting society. Courses are also offered as a part of general education, degree requirements, and/or in support of various majors.

The student must complete 18 hours of Sociology courses as follows:

Required Sociology (SOCO) Courses

SOCO 113 - Introduction to Sociology (MOTR SOCI 101) Semester Hours: Three
SOHI 213 - Worldview and Social Issues (MOTR SOCI 201) Semester Hours: Three

Total: 6 Hours

Electives

12 hours, with 6 upper division, in Sociology (CRPS, PSSC, SOCO or SOHI) courses or CRPS 413 .

At least three hours of minor must be earned at Missouri Baptist University.
A grade of D is not acceptable in courses taken to fulfill the requirements for a minor.
