Nursing Major Requirements
Note(s)
+Waive BIOL 103 + 101 if student has met prerequisite for BIOL 213 + 211.
*A grade of C or better is required in these courses for completion of the BSN degree.
†A grade of B or better is required in these courses for completion of the BSN degree.
‡Course must have been completed within the past 7 years in order to transfer into the School of Nursing
- At least six hours of major and three hours of minor must be earned at Missouri Baptist University.
- A grade of C or better (CR for zero credit classes) is required in courses taken to fulfill the requirements for a major or minor.
- If a substitution has been made, attach a copy of the signed approval and indicate the course number and title following the catalog requirement. Please include the date of the substitution.
- A student must earn a grade of 77% or better in all major (nursing) courses, and achieve an overall grade point average of 2.5 (C) or better for the awarding of the bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 120 semester hours is required to earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
Requirements for Degree Conferral:
- At least 24 of the last 32 hours taken at Missouri Baptist University
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale (those seeking certification must achieve a GPA of 2.75)
- At least 45 hours of Upper Division (54 for a dual degree)
- At least 120 total credit hours (144 for a dual degree)
