Students wishing to be admitted into the Sport Management major will be allowed to present a written request for acceptance to the Associate Dean of the School of Management & Marketing after at least one full semester of study at MBU if the cumulative 2.5 GPA requirement has been met.

*Qualifying students may spend the equivalent of full-time employment (400 hours) in an appropriate agency for six elective internship credit hours. Prerequisites: 90 hours of accumulated course credit, a minimum of 24 hours of course credit completed in the major, 3.0 GPA in the major, and the internship coordinator’s permission.

Requirements for degree conferral:

  • At least 24 of the last 32 hours taken at Missouri Baptist University

  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale (those seeking certification must achieve a GPA of 2.75)

  • At least 42 hours of Upper Division (54 for a dual degree)

  • At least 120 total credit hours (144 for a dual degree)
