Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine

Missouri Baptist University now had an affiliation agreement with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). This partnership allows MBU students the opportunity for early acceptance into LECOM’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, along with LECOM’s School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, and School of Podiatric Medicine. Students may apply for the Early Acceptance Program (EAP) either prior to matriculating at Missouri Baptist or within their first two years of study.

Detailed criteria for each early acceptance program, as well as the application form for the Early Acceptance Program, can be accessed through the following link: https://lecom.edu/academics/early-acceptance-program/

High school seniors admitted to MBU are eligible to apply for EAP consideration.

Students interested in applying should reach out to Dr. Dawn Huber, Assistant Professor of Biology and Pre-health Advisor in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, for guidance on the application process. A key benefit of this program is that standardized test scores, such as the MCAT or DAT, are not required for admission. Applications must be submitted no later than the spring of the student’s sophomore year to ensure eligibility for acceptance and the completion of two years at MBU before entering LECOM.

After a successful interview, LECOM will notify the student of their provisional acceptance. Upon approval by the affiliated institution of their choice and submission of the student’s school email address to LECOM, the student will receive a provisional letter of acceptance from LECOM.

This partnership provides students with an exceptional pathway to pursuing their medical, dental, pharmacy, or podiatric medicine.
