COUN 5303 - Career Counseling Semester Hours: Three The purpose of this course is to provide students with an overview of the field of career counseling, including its historical development and current theories. In addition, students will learn how to apply methods of career counseling to their work with individuals in school or agency settings. Counseling students will explore and learn to and advocate for post-secondary options for students/clients, and will learn techniques for counseling and presenting post-secondary and career options to students/clients. Note: This course cannot be taken as a directed study or credit for prior learning portfolio. Students seeking counselor licensure may not take this as a web-based course. Term Offered: Summer
