ACCT 483 - Accounting Data Analytics Semester Hours: Three This course is designed to introduce students to the use of data analytics in the accounting profession. The course will provide an overview of basic statistical concepts and the application of data analytics in accounting practice. Students will learn how to use data analytics tools and techniques to analyze financial data, detect anomalies, and identify trends. The course will cover topics such as data collection and processing, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, predictive analytics, and machine learning. Students will also learn how to apply these techniques to financial statement analysis, audit planning, fraud detection, and risk management. Prerequisite(s): ACCT 223 , BCIS 203 , and MATH 243 .
