GRED 773 - Doctoral Dissertation ABD in Leadership in Teaching and Learning Semester Hours: Three This course is the capstone for doctoral students in the ABD in Leadership in Teaching and Learning program. The student will design an original piece of research that utilizes either quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods to address a problem within the student’s respective field. The studentwill provide a comprehensive review of literature and demonstrate a high level of conceptual complexity and critical analysis of the problem. Students must receive approval from his/her doctoral dissertation committee, the expert methodologists, and the Institutional Review Board for approval prior to conducting research. The student must then successfully defend his/her full approved dissertation before the dissertation committee and a university administrator. A final grade will be issued for this course once the student receives final approval. Note: This course cannot be taken as a directed study. This course is a 12-week course offered on the quarter schedule of the doctoral program.
