COUN 5383 - Internship in Elementary School Counseling Semester Hours: THREE This course consists of 300 clock hours of supervised counseling experiences within an elementary school setting. Students will also attend bi-monthly internship classes for an entire semester with other internship students. Students will critique audio and videotapes of their counseling sessions to enhance their counseling skills and techniques. Prerequisites for School: COUN 5113, 5121, 5122, 5123, 5133, 5211, 5212, 5213, 5223, 5253. There is a course specific fee charged for this course.
This course cannot be taken as a directed study or credit for prior learning portfolio. Students seeking counselor licensure may not take this as a web-based course. Online program students must enroll in the OLP section. Traditional program students must enroll in the face-to-face (INT) section. CPT form required for F-1 international students.
