General Education Requirements for BSN (RN to BSN)

Major Requirements

BIOL 303 - Nutrition Science Semester Hours: Three
BIOL 363 - Pathophysiology Semester Hours: Three
OR
BIOL 371 - Microbiology Laboratory Semester Hours: One
BIOL 373 - Microbiology Semester Hours: Three
MATH 243 - Probability and Statistics (MOTR MATH 110) Semester Hours: Three
PSYC 313 - Human Growth and Development (MOTR PSYC 200) Semester Hours: Three
Validation of credit: Up to 40 hours of nursing credit for proficiency validated by RN licensure.

*An additional 3-4 hours of electives may be needed to complete the 120 hour requirement. Elective courses may be needed to be Upper Division credit in order to satisfy the 42 credit hour requirement.
Only 90 hours maximum will be taken of transfer credit toward the degree including the 40 credit hours of validation.
At least six hours of major and three hours of minor must be earned at Missouri Baptist University.
Students must earn a C or better in courses taken to fulfill the requirements for a major or minor.
If a substitution has been made, attach a copy of the signed approval and indicate the course number and title following the catalog requirement. Please include the date of the substitution.

Requirements for degree conferral:

At least 24 of the last 32 hours taken at Missouri Baptist University
Cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale (those seeking certification must achieve a GPA of 2.75)
At least 42 hours of Upper Division (54 for a dual degree)
At least 120 total credit hours (144 for a dual degree)
