Mission Statement

The College of Business & Entrepreneurship equips students with the knowledge and skills to pursue faith first and reflect their identity in Christ in the workplace.  Students will be challenged to employ their unique God-given gifts and creativity as they learn to serve and solve problems in their work or pursue entrepreneurial ventures.  Readings and case studies are used to apply Biblical principles to business problem solving and decision making to promote flourishing corporate environments.  Students are encouraged to engage in networking with students, faculty, and professionals to make career choices that honor God’s calling.

Admission Requirements
The College of Business & Entrepreneurship requires a minimum standard of academic performance for acceptance into the College of Business & Entrepreneurship for any major in business, except applied management. Specifically:

  • Freshmen: Student must have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale and an ACT score of 20.
  • Transfers and students changing their major (non-business major to business major): Student must have a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA.

Students not meeting the admission requirement may be immediately accepted into the applied management major. Students wishing to be admitted into the other business majors will be allowed to present a written request for acceptance to the appropriate Associate Dean for their program after at least one full semester of study at MBU if the cumulative 2.5 GPA requirement has been met. A 2.5 cumulative grade point average is required for graduation.

Requirements for Second Majors: Students wishing to earn a second major or dual degree within the College of Business & Entrepreneurship must complete all the requirements for both majors and may not count elective courses toward more than one major within the College of Business & Entrepreneurship. Third majors are not allowed. Students majoring in Cybersecurity may not earn a second major in Network Engineering and vice versa.
