COUN 5203 - Psychopathology (CMHC or School - Licensure Track Only)
Semester Hours: THREE
This course provides students with a working knowledge of diagnostic classification systems, specifically the current version of the DSM. Additionally, the course introduces students to skills in case conceptualization, case presentation and in selecting and implementing appropriate treatment strategies. Students have opportunities to apply knowledge and skills to client cases. Prerequisites for School (Licensure Track): COUN 5113 , COUN 5123 , COUN 5133 , COUN 5163 . Prerequisites for CMHC: COUN 5103 , COUN 5113 , COUN 5133 , COUN 5163 . This course cannot be taken as a directed study, credit for prior learning portfolio, or as a web-based course.
