HSCI 423 - Neurological Diseases Term Offered: Spring The course will explore the central nervous system and the consequences of neurological diseases. Basic neuroanatomy and general principles of neuroscience will be surveyed. The course will study the general mechanisms, symptoms, treatments and long-term consequences of a variety of neurological diseases including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and others as warranted. Semester Hours: Three
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 223 , HSCI 343 , or instructor’s approval.
