NRSG 453 - Concepts of Pediatric and Maternal Healthcare Term Offered: Third Semester This course provides an integrative, family-centered approach to the care of mothers, newborns, and children. The concepts introduced will build on prior knowledge and are demonstrated through increasingly complex exemplars. Concepts include development, immunity, inflammation, infection, functional ability, nutrition, thermoregulation, gas exchange, mood & affect, reproduction, and perfusion. Semester Hours: Three
