BIBM 423 - Molecular Biology Semester Hours: Three This course describes the molecules in cells and the major molecular processes that lie behind major biological events (DNA replication and transcription, processing of RNA, translation, and protein modification), using molecular cloning of self-replicating bacterial and eukaryotic cells as a thread and a springboard. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 142 , CHEM 143 , and two of the following: BIOL 341 and BIOL 343 , BIOL 423 , BIOL 371 and BIOL 373 , BIOL 463A/563A .
