HUSR 453 - Working with Groups Semester Hours: Three This course will introduce students to various approaches to group work within social service agencies and describe how dimensions of power affect and influence group dynamics when working with a diverse client population. Through active participation in small groups, students will develop and improve their interpersonal skills for participating in and facilitating groups. Students will engage in role-playing activities and observe a community group meeting. There will be additional emphasis on applying Christian values, human services professional ethics, and personal growth through self-reflection. Term Offered: Spring
Prerequisites: HUSR 213 , HUSR 233 , and PSYC 133
