PHYS 383 - Meteorology Term Offered: On Demand This is an introductory course in the study of the atmosphere. It will include topics on solar radiation, temperature, humidity, precipitation, winds, weather patterns, severe weather, and weather forecasting. The student will gain a basic understanding of what causes the various weather situations and an insight into how to forecast the weather. This course will satisfy three of the six hours of additional math or science required for the Bachelor of Science degree. Semester Hours: Three
Prerequisite(s): MATH 113 , MATH 123 , MATH 133 , MATH 155 , or MATH 164 and PHYS 101 and PHYS 103 , PHYS 121 and PHYS 123 , PHYS 131 and PHYS 133 , PHYS 153 , CHEM 111 and CHEM 113 , or CHEM 130 and CHEM 132 and CHEM 133 .
