EDCL 220 - Transfer Field Experience Term Offered: Fall, Spring This is an initial field experience for transfer students transferring a course equivalent to EDCL 211 with a grade of B or better to be taken, as needed, at the same time a student enrolls for EDUC 201 . This 15 clock-hour field experience should be completed within the grade levels of the certification being sought. Students will begin to develop an experiential foundation through a combination of classroom observations, dialogue with practicing teachers, working with students as tutors or in small groups, etc. Students will successfully create a present a minimum of one lesson to K-12 students under the supervision of the K-12 classroom teacher and the university supervisor. The field location will be assigned by the Director of Field Experiences in order to ensure the quality of field experience in diverse settings. Students transferring an equivalent course with a C or lower will need to take EDCL 211 at MBU. Note: School of Teacher Education Gateway Course: A grade of CR is required for this course with the opportunity to repeat the course once to achieve the minimum grade. Since this is a zero-credit course, the grading scale to achieve a CR in EDCL 220 will be aligned with a grade of B for EDCL 211 Teaching Field Experience I. Some districts may also require current tuberculosis (TB) test results for placement. A lab fee is charged for this field experience. Semester Hours: Zero
