EDUC 401 - Professional Growth and Folio Development II Term Offered: Fall, Spring This seminar is designed to continue professional growth and development for the pre-service teacher at all levels. A variety of large group, small group, and individual learning experiences will be explored which focus on contemporary educational issues. Students will further explore the Missouri Teacher Standards in preparation for student teaching. All students seeking initial teacher certification must register for this course in the semester prior to student teaching. Students are required to complete their student teaching interview in conjunction with EDUC 401. The completed Professional Development Folio (PDF) must be submitted at the conclusion of this course. A passing PDF is required for satisfactory completion of EDUC 401. Note: School of Teacher Education Gateway Course: A grade of B or better is required for this course with the opportunity to repeat the course once to achieve the minimum grade. This course will not be accepted in transfer from another institution and cannot be taken through Directed Study, Credit for Prior Learning, or Credit by Exam. There is a special fee ($100.00) associated with this course. Semester Hours: One
Prerequisite(s): EDUC 201 and Admission to the Teacher Education Program.
