BIBM 413 - Cancer Biology Term Offered: Spring An in-depth exploration of the molecular, cellular, and clinical aspects of cancer biology. The disease of cancer is becoming increasingly relevant with the aging population of modern society, as cancer is primarily a disease of aging. This course will cover cancer formation or carcinogenesis, cancer progression, and historic and current cancer treatments. Students will explore primary scientific literature to conduct a research project and presentation on a novel cancer therapy currently undergoing clinical trials. Semester Hours: Three
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 , BIOL 113 , BIOL 121 , BIOL 123 , BIOL 341 , and BIOL 343 .
