This is a program of study leading to certification to teach marketing education at the high school level. Candidates must pursue a combined certification program with Business Education and Secondary Education. Courses indicated with an asterisk (*) below are also required for Business Education. In addition, one of the MRKT courses without an asterisk may be applied as the elective required for Business Education, so students only need an additional 15 credit hours for the combined Business Education and Marketing Education programs.
Undergraduate candidates seeking to teach at the secondary level (grades 9-12) must have a primary major in Business Education. A program combining middle and secondary Business Education is also available for those interested in certification in grades 5-12. Candidates may also opt for a combined certification program in Business Education and Marketing Education (grades 9-12).
