NOTE: Middle school certification may be combined with secondary certification in the same content area, earning subject-specific certification in grades 5-12.

Subject-Specific Certification Requirements:
Candidates pursuing middle/secondary combined certification must satisfy all the subject-specific secondary content area requirements, which will also fulfill the middle school concentration area requirements.

Content area courses are undergraduate-only unless otherwise noted.

⁑ For students transferring professional education course work, the combination of Educational Psychology (or equivalent) and a course that covers child and adolescent growth and development (generally a prerequisite to Educational Psychology) will be substituted for EDPS 313
